Shihan Robert Silverman
Shihan has been training in the arts for 35 years. He holds Black Belt Rankings in Shotokan (Godan), Shorin Ryu (Nidan), Goju Ryu (Shodan), and Kobujitsu (Shodan). He holds ranks in Judo and Jui-Jitsu.

Shihan passion is teaching karate. He has put five students on the USA Olympic Committee Junior National Team and one on the USA Olympic Committee Senior Team. He has had students representing the USA in Karate all over the world.
Sensei George Nemeth
Sensei Nemeth holds a Sandan in Shotokan Karate. He has been training at the LM Karate Academy since 1996. Practical Self Defense and Street Safety are his areas of expertise. He brings a great deal of knowledge to the self defense classes. Sensei George is a Nationally Certified Coach, as well as ASEP (American Sports Education Program) Certified and a USA/NKF (United States Olympic Committee) Nationally Certified Official (D). Sensei George is married with 2 kids.
Sensei Kelsey Silverman
Sensei Kelsey is a dynamic person. Sensei Kelsey hold a Nidan under the World Japanse Karate Association. She is a member of the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 USA NKF National Team (under the United States Olympic Committee) and competed in El Salvador, Canada, Brazil, Peru and Mexico in the Pan American Games. She is a Pan American Championships Silver medalist. She was a member of the 2008 AAU Jr. National Team that completed in Japan for the Goodwill games International Championships. Her competitive highlight is competing in the 2011 WKF World Championships in Melaka Malaysia, where she finished 7th. She has 25 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 7 bronze medals in National Competition in 8 years. Kelsey has dominated the State and Regional competition scene for the last 10 years. Kelsey has been training with Team Intense since she was three years old. Kelsey plays Varsity Volleyball and maintains a 3.9 GPA and is feature in the National Yearbook for Academic Excellence. She is pursuing a degree in Athletic Training at JMU.
Sensei Joey Kubistek
Sensei Joey is lead Coach for Team Intense. His knowledge of the fight game and ring management is matched by no one. He has a real knack for passing that knowledge onto his athletes in training and on the mat during matches. His knowledge of body mechanics is critical to the development of his athletes. Sensei Joey holds a Nidan in Shotokan karate and is a long time competitor.
Sempai Megan Landis
Sensei Megan Landis has been with LM Shotokan Karate Academy since the age of seven. She is a Nidan in Shotokan karate under the World Japanese karate Association. Megan has a deep knowledge of karate history and traditions. When it comes to kata and kobudo, Megan is an encyclopedia of knowledge.
Sempai Trinity Haynes
Sempai Trinity Haynes is the next generation of LM Karate Academy and Team Intense. She assists teaching with the little dragons class and the beginner classes. She has a Shodan in Shotokan Karate under the WJKA. In the last 5 years Trinity has earned 4 Gold, 2 Silver, and 10 Bronze Medals in National Competitions. She is an Honor Student at Fluvanna County High School.
Sempai Gage Silverman has been training at LM Karate Academy since he was 3 years old. He is a numerous time National Champion and a three time USA Olympic Committee Junior National Team alternate. He is the winner of the AAU Antional Joel Ferrel Award for most outstanding male Karate competitor. He holds a Shodan in Shotokan Karate under the WJKA. He plans on pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering.
